Terms of Use

CHAINED is a daily connection game: link people, places, brands and more through real connections in as few steps as possible. It is free to play, and you don't need an account. An optional account keeps your progress across devices.

Leaderboards only mean something if everyone plays by the same rules. Please don't:

use bots, scripts or automated tools to play; tamper with the game, its requests or its scoring; create multiple identities or devices to get extra Daily attempts or Live Duels, or to boost a score; share or publish today's solutions before the Daily ends to spoil it for others; or try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to CHAINED or its systems.

We may remove results, reset scores, hide players from leaderboards, or block access where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

Display names you choose are public. Don't pick names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading, or that impersonate someone else or contain personal information. We may change or remove any display name, and you're responsible for the name you choose.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can stop using CHAINED at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

The CHAINED name, logo, design, puzzles and chains, explanations and software belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to share your results and the game's share cards; please don't copy, scrape or republish the puzzles or the site. Facts and images of real people, brands and places belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification and education; their appearance doesn't mean they endorse CHAINED.

Everything in CHAINED is free today. If we introduce paid features (such as CHAINED+), they'll come with their own terms covering price, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds, shown to you before you buy. Nothing on this page commits you to any payment.

We work hard to publish a new Daily every day and keep CHAINED running, but we can't promise the service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, pause or retire features — including game modes, scoring rules for future puzzles, and leaderboards — and may correct puzzles or results that turn out to be wrong.

CHAINED is provided “as is”, for entertainment. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost scores, streaks or data. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll flag significant changes in the game or on the Updates page. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Norway.
